Eligibility and Costs

Cub Scouts, by the time of attending Cuboree 2018, will:

  • Attended at least two (2) Pack holidays – or one (1) Pack holiday and one (1) District/Region Camp – at least one (1) in tents – NB: sleepovers do not qualify;
  • Achieved their Silver Boomerang – as a minimum;
  • Turned nine (9) years of age on or before 1st day of CUBOREE 2018 (as minimum age) and NOT turned eleven (11) on or before the last day of CUBOREE 2018 (as maximum age);
  • Have been recommended by their Cub Pack Leader;
  • Have been recommended by their Group Leader; and
  • A current financial member of Scouts Queensland.

Youth/Young Adult Member Supporters (Scouts (aged 13 +), Venturer Scouts):

  • Must be a current registered financial member of Scouts Queensland;
  • Must be willing to serve in any role as determined by the Cuboree Executive Team;
  • Recommended by their Section Leader (or Cub Scout Leader); and
  • Must be recommended by their Group Leader.

Leaders, Rover Scouts and Adult Members/Supporters:

  • Must be a current registered financial member of Scouts Queensland;
  • Must be willing to serve in any role as determined by the Cuboree Executive Team;
  • Must have a current ‘Blue Card’ which does not expire during Cuboree; and
  • All members attending Cuboree need to have completed the mandatory e-learning modules of WHS for Scouting and Child Safe Scouting.
  • Note: Selection for certain roles will require the applicant to hold a Wood Badge prior to Cuboree.

Applications will only be approved and processed by Scout Head Quarters after the 1st payment is received.

Preferred Payment Option:
The preferred option for payment is to make secure online payments through the electronic application, once you have electronically submitted your application.  Following submission you will need to go back into your application and you will see the ‘Make a Payment’ option on the left hand menu in your application. This method allows you to track payments, print receipts and assists the Cuboree finance committee to process payment more readily.   A nominal credit card charge will be applied at the time of processing.

If you are paying by any other means; including Group Payments, you will need to contact the Cuboree Finance Officer finance.cuboree@scoutsqld.com.au to discuss the procedure.  You will need to ensure payment is received by the due dates.
