What is Cuboree

Every two to three years, Cub Scouts from across Queensland come together for Cuboree, a five-day camp designed just for Cub Scouts. Cuboree 2026 – Shake It Up! will be held at BP Park in Samford from 9 to 13 April 2026.

Attending Cuboree is a milestone experience for any Cub Scout. Imagine spending five days with hundreds of Cub Scouts, all enjoying the very best of being a Cub Scout. From action-packed activities and outdoor challenges to life-long memories, new friendships and endless fun. For many young people, Cuboree is their first time this long away from home and it’s an experience they’ll never forget.

The Cuboree campsite becomes a bustling Cub Scout community. There are 3 Subcamps each having 6 Units of 6 Patrols of 6 Cub Scouts. Each Subcamp is supported by a Subcamp Team who supports the Cuboree Unit Leaders and the Cub Scouts. The Subcamps all have their own kitchen, chill-out zone, tent city, and welfare space. Throughout the week, Cub Scouts will explore activity zones, take part in themed adventures, enjoy evening entertainment, and make memories that will last a lifetime.

The purpose of Cuboree is to provide young people with a fun, safe and engaging program that encourages participation, independence, and teamwork. Through a wide variety of activities and experiences, Cub Scouts grow in confidence, develop resilience, and live out the values of the Australian Scout Promise and Law. It’s a celebration of everything they’ve achieved so far in Scouting and a launchpad for the adventures still to come.
